Cat grooming
What should I use for grooming a cat?
Semi-longhaired felines obviously would require a more regular approach to grooming and most especially the Persian that has a long and flowing coat. The latter may even require every other day grooming composed of face clean ups and combing, not to mention an additional weekly bathing (twice a week is also acceptable) with particular attention to cleaning of the ears.
For the actual process of cat grooming, there are actually several ways to complete the entire activity. The first one would be on proper brushing or combing. Having some knowledge as to what type of comb is best to use for a particular hair type, gently comb the coat of your pet from top to bottom while keeping your cat comfortable by your constant reassurance from your soft voice.

By the way, mats are pieces of tangled hair appearing on your pet’s coat.
With regard to eye cleaning, use a cotton square or a piece of soft wash cloth soaked in clean water. Start of by cleaning the cat’s lower eyelids. Make sure not to directly apply pressure on its eyeballs as this is very irritating for your pet. For the ears, special Q-tips can be obtained from the vet.
Lastly, bathing is a stressful activity for your cat. That’s why it is best to introduce routine bathing and cat grooming while it is still young. During baths, you can use special medicated soaps or shampoos to treat the coat of your feline. To avoid these solutions from going into your cat’s eyes, you may also apply special oil or drops on its eyes thereby blocking the irritating soap from entering
